Policies & Procedures

Our Policies

Your pet is important to us. Because we care, we want to assure you that every effort will be taken to make sure your pet's visit is as pleasant as possible. For that reason, we would like to make you aware of our Mobile/shop's policies.

*Mobile Vs Shop what you need to know

Prices will not be the same between mobile and shop even for the same dog in the same condition. Due to the confined and limited space of mobile grooming xl dogs, aggressive, or overly complicated dogs may not be suited and should consider shop grooming instead.

*Vaccinations

All pets 6 months old or older must be current on their rabies vaccination. Puppies that have had their 2nd set of boosters from their veterinarian are welcome.

*Appointments and drop offs

We are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Due to the nature of one-on-one grooming, we do not accept walk ins. You must make an appointment for ANY grooming services unless specific arrangements are made.

Please call if you are going to be more than 15 minutes late. We may need to reschedule your appointment if you're running late. Since we are by appointment only, we have a set amount of time for each appointment. If you are late, that runs into the next pet's appointment, which isn't fair to them. These charges may not occur for mobile grooming if it is the mobile running behind. It is also important for mobile customers to be more descriptive with the condition and attitude of their dog/cat as there is not enough space for kenneling and additional grooming time may lead into next appointments time

*Cancelations/ Rescheduling

If you cannot keep your appointment, please give us 24 hours notice. We understand emergencies and life happens and we will try to work with you but not on a continued basis. There is a $25 fee per pet for no show appointments and appointments missed without giving 24 hours notice .This must be paid before we reschedule. NEW clients who no show or cancel without giving 24 hours notice will NOT be rescheduled.

If there is an issue with the groom, please inform us within 24 hours so we can try to resolve the problem. No refunds.

Please let us know if your pet has any medical conditions BEFORE we begin the groom.

Pets with fleas will be treated at the pet owner's expense.

*Matted pets

We will not brush out severely matted pets. We will suggest a shave down and let the hair regrow. We can show you the proper way to brush your pet and which tools you need to maintain a longer haircut if that's your preference. In some cases of severely matted coats, we may refuse the groom and refer you to a groomer with a veterinarian on staff, for everyone's safety. Additional matt charges may apply if you wish for moderate matts to be brushed out. We stand strongly on humanity over vanity. Sticking to appropriate grooming schedule for your breed is important

All pets must come in leashed, in a carrier or carried in. NO LOOSE PETS PERMITTED! If you do not have a leash, come in and ask to borrow one.

*Difficult pets

Any pet showing aggression or biting may be refused service in the interest of safety for all involved. It is your legal responsibility to disclose if your pet has ever bitten anyone in the past including another groomer. Additional charges may apply

Pets that have medical or advanced age that prevents them from being able to stand for more than 10 minutes on their own may be subjected to multiple appointments or incur extra fees depending on pets abilities or illnesses.

Any Pet that exceeds a 2 hour grooming time may incur additional charges or given another appointment to finish grooming depending on the stress of pet at the time.

*Pick ups

Your pet must be picked up within a timely manner of their finished appointment time unless PRIOR arrangements have been made. We will give you an estimated finish time at drop off and call when 10-15 minutes before ready. Due to lack of space, late pickups may incur additional charges, in addition to your grooming fee.

Payment is expected at time services are rendered. We accept cash, non-contact payments (paypal, cashapp, venmo). We only accept local checks (with name, address, and phone) bounced checks with result in $30 fee

We reserve the right to refuse service at any time for any reason. Your pet's safety is our #1 concern.

These policies are in place to make this a successful business in addition to making your furry friends and family look and feel great!

Mountain Pet Wash Release of Liability

· If Owner’s pet is hurt or becomes ill, Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile has permission to obtain immediate medical care from the veterinarian of our choice should the pet’s veterinarian not be accessible. Pet owner agrees to pay all cost for medical treatment provided. At Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile all pets are treated by the employees with the utmost care and due diligence. Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile will not be held responsible for clipper burn and/or minor nicks resulting from grooming of matted, neglected coats or for irritation caused by removing coat from pets possessing mild to severe skin allergy, nor will we be held responsible for the stressful effects grooming may have on a geriatric pet.

· Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile is not responsible for any allergic reactions resulting from the manufacturer recommended usage of any products. We take great care in selecting the best products and have few situations with reactions- in saying this, your dog may have extreme needs that go beyond the care we provided. Please let us know within 24 hours and we will do everything we can to help- even if it means giving your dog an extra oat-meal bath.

· Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile is not responsible for pre-existing medical conditions or the aggravation of those conditions; such as, but not limited to, heart disease, arthritis, obesity, infections, or any other medical problem that may be affected by the grooming process.

 · The health of each pet is Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile number one concern. If Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile feels the safety or well-being of the Owner’s pet and/or a grooming associate is in jeopardy, a muzzle may be used, or services refused or discontinued. Should the groom need to be discontinued, the owner is still responsible to pay the convenience fee.

· Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile reserves the right to charge additional fees for services we consider over and above the norm covered by our standard rates. Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile reserves the right to refuse service to customers who pose a threat to our employees and other pets in our care, whether it is an aggression problem, health problem, or parasite problem.

· It has been our experience that when a pet is “shaved down,” “summer cut” or “stripped” as it is called in the grooming profession, pre-existing conditions may appear. When a pet is very matted, air cannot get through to its skin. If the pet has an itch and bites itself, the skin will become sore and will not be able to heal through the matted coat. Stripping uncovers these skin conditions, as well as other skin problems that may have developed from the lack of air and grooming. Please note that it is difficult to strip a matted pet without slightly irritating the skin, since the groomer must get underneath the mats. THE ONLY WAY WE WILL CONSIDER STRIPPING YOUR PET WILL BE WITH YOUR CONSENT. There may be an extra charge for this service because the groomer will need extra blades, extra lubricant for the clipper and more time to slowly and carefully get under the pet’s mats/pelt.

· I, the undersigned, owner, or person representing the owner, do hereby release Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile from any and all responsibility resulting in stripping my pet and understand and support the conditions stated in this agreement.

· Right to Refuse Service- Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile has the right to refuse service for any reason it deems. In the event of a dog that cannot be groomed safely without danger to the groomer/employees/or others, Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile will use muzzles, e-collars, straps etc. Grooming services may be stopped mid-groom if necessary for the safety of the dog or groomer. Grooming fees may still be applied.

· Duty to Disclose- I have disclosed and will continue to disclose on an ongoing basis, any and all medical or other conditions, including but not limited to personality concerns or behaviors that may affect, limit or prevent my dog’s ability to be at Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile.

· I hereby agree to expressly and forever generally waive, discharge claims, indemnify, release liability, save, hold harmless and defend Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile, their invitees, sponsors, advertisers, owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, leasers, and all others having interest in Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile (The Releases) from and against any and all injury, liability, claims, litigation, actions, suits, costs, losses, damages, attorney’s fees, expenses or demands of every character whatsoever on the account of, arising out of, resulting from or relating in any way to (1) any act or omission of the releases, including negligence, and (2) me or my dog’s participation at Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile, or otherwise. I also expressly and forever release Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile from any duty to protect me or my dog(s) from injury of any kind and agree that even if Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile chooses to implement safety precautions; such actions shall not alter the fact that I have released Mountain Pet Wash/ Mountain Pet Wash Mobile from any duty to protect me or my dog(s).

· I have read and fully understand the terms of this “grooming policies, procedures and dog release, waiver of liability, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement (the agreement) and understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it and have signed freely and voluntarily without any inducement, assurance or guarantee and intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent permitted by the law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
